In Guinea-Bissau, the Regional Consular Chamber of UEMOA (CCR-UEMOA) held on November 7 and 8, 2023, its fourth and final meeting of the Bureau extended to the Presidents of the Technical and Ad’hoc Commissions for the year 2023. Several points were debated.

Examine and validate the conclusions and recommendations of the work of the Technical and Ad’hoc Commissions and take any decision contributing to the proper functioning of the community private sector. This is the objective of the meeting held by the Office of the Regional Consular Chamber of Uemoa (CCR-Uemoa) on November 7 and 8, 2023. Chaired by the Minister of Commerce of Guinea Bissau, Joao Handem, in the presence by Daouda Coulibaly, President of the CCR-UEMOA, this session was an opportunity for regional consular elected officials to take stock of the state of implementation of decisions resulting from previous Bureau meetings, to ensure follow-up the implementation of the Action Plan for the 2021-2024 Mandate and to review budgetary management, in particular the situation of contributions as of October 31, 2023. The draft Action Plan and Budget for the year 2024 were also examined and validated during this session. Was this session of the Bureau also an opportunity to examine the 2023 activity report of the Institution as well as the draft agenda for the Ordinary General Assembly, scheduled for December 5 to 7, 2023 in Lomé, Togo. It should be noted that following the work, members of the Office made courtesy visits to the High Public Authorities of Guinea Bissau. They were received by the Minister of Commerce and the Secretary of State in charge of the Budget.
As a reminder, the Regional Consular Chamber of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (CCR-UEMOA), is a consultative body created by article 40 of the Treaty of January 10, 1994 establishing the Union, with the main mission of achieve the effective involvement of the private sector in the Union integration process.
