The Spanish government has approved five projects in Catalonia from the second PERTE call for electric cars worth more than 120 million euros, 22.7% of the total money awarded. There are five approved projects in Catalonia.
The one that will receive a higher subsidy is that of Lotte Energy Materials Spain in Mont-roig del Camp (Tarragona), with 49.2 million. This company will invest up to 1.2 billion euros in a project to manufacture an essential component for the manufacture of electric batteries.
The second most abundant aid is for the Seat factory in Martorell. The others are Basf, with 15.7 million; Gestamp Palau, with 7.5, and Scutum Logistic, with 540,000 euros.
