Not even two minutes had passed since the start of the game between the Golden State Warriors and the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Draymond Green, known for being controversial, different and capable of winning ‘civilly or criminally’, went crazy on the court. Thompson and McDaniels got into a fight after grabbing each other’s shirts on the court at the 1:43 mark. Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert was one of the first to separate them, but when he did so Draymond Green got involved in the fight and retaliated by putting Gobert in a key popularly known as a ‘mataleón’.

A method commonly used in violent robberies, and consists of surprising the victims from behind and putting their arm around their neck to strangle them and leave them unconscious. The ’23’ of the Warriors is known for being a very short-lived, extremely competitive and emotional player, something that has earned him expulsion from many games for fighting, stomping and even punching on the court. He has had his ups and downs with Jordan Poole, LeBron James, Steven Adams, Domantas Sabonis…

There are already two expulsions this season in the short time we have had this season in the NBA. The other two players who started it all, Klay Thompson and Jaden McDaniels, were also ejected after the melee.
