AIC student: Rayssa Zago debuts in SBT soap opera

Year of debuts for the former student of the International Cinema Academy, Rayssa Zago. The actress won her first fixed role in the soap opera The Childhood of Romeo and Juliet, produced by SBT. In addition, it is scheduled to be released on the big screen in December this year.

In the children’s plot, Rayssa plays the role of Domitila. Initially, her character would only be a cameo, but it was expanded to more than 100 episodes. In addition to SBT, the work written by Iris Abravanel is available on Prime Video.

While dedicating herself to recording the soap opera, Rayssa is also preparing for Fisheye, a short film by Filmworks student Sofia Borghi. For the film, which will take place 60% of the time underwater, the actress had to attend swimming classes to learn apnea and spend longer submerged.

In addition to the soap opera, the actress will also debut on the big screen with a role in the film The hijacking of Flight 375. The feature film is the first of his career and tells the true story of a man who hijacked a flight with the intention of launching it over the Palácio do Planalto during the Sarney Plan. The film is scheduled to be released in December 2023.

Behind the cameras

In addition to her acting, Rayssa works behind the scenes in audiovisual production. The student produced, scripted and directed the short film Chrysalisawarded by Itaú Cultural and Funarte, and nominated for best short film at the 6th Campos do Jordão Short Film Festival.
