These unbearable images will be shown in both houses of Parliament. After a screening at the National Assembly on Tuesday, a film showing the massacres committed by Hamas commandos on October 7 in Israel will be broadcast on Tuesday in the Senate, indicated Senator Roger Karoutchi, at the origin of this initiative.

This 52-minute film compiled by the Israeli authorities from images taken by fighters of the Palestinian Islamist movement will be screened at 7:00 p.m. in a Senate room. “All senators” are invited, said Les Républicains senator Roger Karoutchi, president of the France-Israel friendship group in the upper house.

Screenings in around thirty countries

A similar screening took place on Tuesday at the National Assembly for members of the France-Israel friendship group in the lower house, which aroused the emotion of parliamentarians. The film shows images of civilians being hunted down, killed at point blank range, the corpses of tortured adults and children lying in the thickets, but also babies with blurred faces in body bags. It also shows attackers glorying in their actions.

Several screenings have already taken place in Israel, at the UN and in around thirty countries, according to a spokesperson for the Israeli embassy in Paris. The Hamas attack left around 1,200 dead on the Israeli side, the majority of them civilians killed on October 7, according to Israeli authorities. The Israeli military estimates that around 240 people were taken hostage during the initial Hamas attack.

In retaliation, Israel declared a war to “annihilate” Hamas, relentlessly shelling the Gaza Strip. At least 11,320 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli bombings on the Gaza Strip since the start of the war, including 4,650 children and 3,145 women, according to a latest Hamas report released on Tuesday.
