Given the current panorama, the company Medikit presented its project “Digital Health Ecosystem”. It is a specialized platform for the pharmaceutical industry that brings together 40 companies in the country with the aim of offering, at a first level, the digital monitoring of prescriptions that are generated in each patient.
With this, what it aims to do is integrate a private health industry highly fragmented into specialties into a single digital system that offers important benefits to all the sectors that comprise it. The purpose is to improve the health service in the issuance of prescriptions and support health professionals to provide timely follow-up for each patient.

The event was chaired by Bruno Valera, spokesperson and CEO & Founder of Medikit, who presented the project and explained that in the “Digital Health Ecosystem” The digitalization efforts of health products and services that 40 companies have carried out individually are consolidated, among which are thousands of points of sale, independent pharmacies and digital pharmacies. All of them have managed to integrate technologically to serve and allow complete traceability of each medical prescription operation carried out.
“Each of these companies invested in technologies such as applications and other digital tools, which by uploading their data to the ‘Digital Health Ecosystem’ cloud help provide real-time monitoring of each transaction that generates a medical prescription.”

What benefits does it offer?
For joint ventures, the efforts of digitization that has made each of its products and services and brings them together into one. It also offers mapping that could not be done otherwise because it would be expensive and long-term. It also offers extensive exposure that generates important exchanges and transactions.
In the case of patients, they can receive a cost reduction in treatments, since when companies join the platform, they offer discounts ranging from 5% to 15%. In addition, the crossing of medications is avoided as the doctor knows what other prescriptions the patient has when he enters the platform. It also combats the cloning of medications or the provision of another medication that is not the one required by the patient because it looks similar.
And most importantly, everything is managed in real time and is modified every minute that an electronic prescription is generated, which is why the sector works with an updated database all the time.
How much strange available?
The project will be launched by April 2024 and with it there would also be a true private health registry in the country.
It should be noted that this platform is made for the pharmaceutical industry and has a cost, which will depend on the number of prescription transactions, and to which doctors will have access. It is not open to the general public due to restrictions imposed by the protection of personal data.
It also offers other benefits for companies that join the “Digital Health Ecosystem” such as Real-Time Analytics, Product Activation, Adherence Campaigns and Artificial Intelligence to modernize commercial strategies and predict behaviors in the prescription of medications, as well as their adherence according to the demographic characteristics of the doctor and the patient.
