Present to the President of the National Assembly the difficulties that the village of Idigny has in taking off its development on the one hand. And on the other hand Idigny, being the largest district in the Plateau department, the difficulties that the village experiences in beginning its development. It is this objective that the members of the Association for the Development of this village are pursuing, which led them to the office of the President of the National Assembly. They were received in audience on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. The delegation composed of members of the Association for the Development of the Village of Idigny and other sister associations in the commune of Kétou. Received by President Louis Gbèhounou Vlavonou in the presence of MP Louis Dossou, the delegation exposed the difficulties linked to the development of their locality. At the end of the discussions, the president of the Idigny Village Development Association in the commune of Kétou, Akim Kolawolé Bonou, announced that the Idigny village is home to the campus of the National University of Agriculture. According to his explanations, on this campus, there is no internet coverage. “At the Idigny village, there is a small hamlet called Akotokou where the campus is located. We have high voltage so far. If the President of the National Assembly could help us so that the population has low voltage, it would facilitate their installation and it will create life on campus,” he indicated. In addition, he continued, “Idigny is also the border and there are problems of insecurity. We ask that there be at least one police outpost to keep everyone safe. We shared with the president of the parliamentary institution all the problems that the district of Idigny is experiencing today.” At the end of this audience, he said he was satisfied that President Louis Vlavonou was very sensitive to their approach. “He made a commitment to help us and, moreover, indicated steps to take to make his task easier,” added the spokesperson for the delegation, Akim Kolawolé Bonou.
