The victory over Kidal offers happy prospects in the fight against terrorism in the Sahel, Ibrahim Traoré

OuagadougouNov. 14, 2023 (AIB)-The capture of Kidal on Tuesday by the Malian army offers happy prospects for the Sahel states, engaged in the fight against terrorists who are encroaching on their sovereignty, said the Burkinabè president, the captain Ibrahim Traoré.

“I am delighted with the liberation, this Tuesday, of the town of Kidal by the Malian Armed Forces after intense fighting in recent days.

I pay vibrant tribute to the brotherly people and the fighting forces for their intrepidity which offers happy prospects for Mali and all the States of the Sahel.

My admiration to the President of the Malian Transition, Colonel Assimi GOITA, for his great vision, his determination and his commitment to a free and sovereign Mali.

This milestone victory reinforces our conviction that the fight for the liberation of our States is worth fighting and that we will emerge victorious.

In a flawless union, the member countries of the AES will overcome terrorism and will soon be able to begin real development actions for the full development of our valiant people,” wrote Captain Ibrahim Traoré on Tuesday on X.
