The diagnosis has been made for Eduardo Camavinga. The midfielder of the France team and Real Madrid suffers from a rupture of the external ligament in his right knee. “Following the examinations carried out today by the Real Madrid medical service on our player, he was diagnosed with a rupture of the external lateral ligament of the right knee,” indicates the press release released by the club this Thursday midday.

Real Madrid does not specify the duration of the player’s unavailability, but according to our information, it should amount to eight weeks. Eduardo Camavinga will not undergo an operation but we will not see him playing on the pitch again until the end of the year.

The midfielder had to cut short Wednesday’s training session at Clairefontaine, after a clash with Ousmane Dembélé during an opposition. He was quickly taken care of by members of the staff and got up, limping a little. When hot, his first sensations had been rather reassuring but the first examinations had confirmed his withdrawal from this gathering.

In the absence of the player, coupled with that of Aurélien Tchouaméni, Warren Zaire-Emery could start the French team’s meeting against Gibraltar as part of the Euro qualifiers. Called up for the first time by Didier Deschamps, the Parisian Titi could become at 17 years 8 months and 10 days the youngest French international since 1945. The match is scheduled to kick off in Nice (Alpes-Maritimes) this Saturday at 8:45 p.m. .
