This is what Haba France is offering this Saturday. The specialist in board games and wooden toys, as well as childcare equipment and furniture, is organizing an open house in Égly this Saturday, November 18.
Because it is in this commune of Essonne that the French subsidiary of the German manufacturer set up its offices 30 years ago, manufacturing being centralized across the Rhine. “We were looking for a way to celebrate this anniversary,” says Marie Thibault, marketing director of Haba family group France. We then had the idea of this markdown. With the impact of inflation, we are aware that the Christmas period was going to be complicated for many families. As we had exceptional stock, we decided to open our premises to the public by offering our items at less than 30%. »
Toys but also childcare equipment
Enough to leave with wooden train circuits, board games of all kinds. But also furniture. “We equip early childhood specialists from floor to ceiling,” continues Marie Thibault. Nurseries, nursery schools, for toys but also for furniture, childcare equipment… The general public is therefore welcome, as are childminders and teachers. »
On Wednesday November 8, a first sale has already been held. Despite the lack of communication, many households moved via word of mouth. “We expect to receive a lot more people this Saturday,” announces Marie Thibault. We are selling a series of very interesting games and toys, at lower prices. »
The marketing director specifies that this sale has nothing to do with the insolvency procedure filed by the German company founded in 1938. “The procedure only concerns the German legal entity,” assures Marie Thibault. And this is not a bankruptcy filing. We continue to be supplied with products, as well as the stores, which customers can rest assured. »
To complete this markdown, Haba France is teaming up with Yoti. For a year, this company has been a player in toy reconditioning. Visitors are therefore invited to bring back to Égly games and toys that they no longer use, all brands combined, in order to give them a second life.
