DECRYPTION – In the midst of a debate on their use, the court of appeal confirms the anti-competitive practices of the issuing companies and their influence on the market.

The decision had been awaited for four years. The Paris Court of Appeal confirmed on Thursday the anti-competitive practices of the four main issuers of restaurant vouchers (Edenred France, Sodexo Pass France, Natixis Intertitres and Groupe Up), sanctioned at the end of 2019 by the Competition Authority.

Accused of having exchanged confidential commercial information (between 2010 and 2015), in addition to having locked the market (from 2002 to 2018) by mutually prohibiting each other from embarking on the digitization of paper titles, they had received 415 million euros fine.

A verdict that is not unanimous

All had contested what they were accused of.
