Karin Karlsbro Chosen as Lead Candidate for Liberals in 2024 European Parliament Elections
Karin Karlsbro has been selected as the lead candidate for the Liberals’ list for the European Parliament in 2024. The announcement was made this week, with Karlsbro expressing her dedication to representing liberal values and advocating for European cooperation in the face of growing nationalism and right-wing populism.
“I want to be a strong voice for liberal values and to stand up for European cooperation in a troubled time when nationalism and right-wing populism are spreading,” Karlsbro stated. “Never have the elections to the European Parliament been so important and ideological. I will do my utmost to continue to be a force for an EU that stops Putin’s war and supports Ukraine, that takes joint and ambitious responsibility for climate, environment, and a sustainable, competitive economy.”
Karin Karlsbro, who hails from Norrtälje and has a background in law and sustainability management, has been serving as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for the Liberals since 2019. She is committed to addressing pressing issues such as the conflict in Ukraine, climate change, and economic sustainability.
