The board of directors of OpenAI, which launched the artificial intelligence platform ChatGPT a year ago, announced this Friday that it has fired its CEO Sam Altman because he no longer trusts his ability to lead the company.

Altman’s surprising departure comes after a “deliberative review by the board, which concluded that He was not always honest in his communication with the board.which hindered his ability to exercise his responsibilities,” states a statement, in which it is announced that he will be replaced on an interim basis by Mira Murati.
