Lost, a cat traveled nearly 1,000 km to finally find her mistress, five months later. This beautiful story has its origins in Coulaures (Dordogne) where Hildegard Holtschneider, a German journalist and writer, took in the animal when it was a baby, three years ago, reports France Blue Périgord. Last June, when the young woman returned to Düsseldorf, she lost the one she baptized Louise-Charlotte in Saint-Cyr-l’École, in Yvelines.

” I cried “

She tried everything for months to find her. In vain, until November 9 when she received an email from a veterinary practice in Brunswick (Germany). Her cat, which is chipped, had just been found by a student in this town located nearly 1,000 km from Saint-Cyr-l’École.

“It was incredible, we found ourselves on the station platform, I cried,” the journalist confided to local radio. How did Louise-Charlotte, who had never set foot in Germany, end up in Brunswick? Hildegard will certainly never know.
