Release of a voluminous box set containing nine albums by Yves Simon published by BMG as well as concerts from the 70s.

In 2018, the “tribute” album Génération(s) éperdue(s) finally brought Yves Simon’s disturbing, somewhat forgotten folk-pop up to date. Christine & the Queens, Flavien Berger, Fire! Chatterton and Juliette Armanet beautifully captured the sentimental-intellectual repertoire of a singer-writer too often reduced to the soundtrack of the film Diabolo Menthe by Diane Kurys. Today’s time for the originals with a double reissue in limited edition at BMG. A copious box set including his nine studio albums from the period 1973-1985 and two live discs, including that of the Théâtre de la Ville never reissued, offer the panorama of a delicate artist as much influenced by American folk-rock as by the wave cultural shock of May 1968. Also highlighting his remarkable backing band Transit Express which had little to envy of the Anglo-Saxon pop groups of the time. A birthday present for someone who turns eighty next year. Not sure that this would delight this eternal teenager.

Complete Studios Albums (1973-1985), 9 LP box set. Transit Express, public recording at the Théâtre de la Ville (1975). Concert in Tokyo (1977)
