The dream finale at the ATP Finals is perfect: world number one Novak Djokovic and crowd favorite Jannik Sinner will play for the title on Sunday (6 p.m./Sky) in Turin. The Italian Sinner defeated the Russian Daniil Medvedev 6:3, 6:7 (4:7), 6:1 in the semi-finals on Saturday and is now in the final of the eight best tennis professionals for the first time at the end of the season. Djokovic then clearly won the second semi-final against Wimbledon winner Carlos Alcaraz 6:3, 6:2 and is now reaching for his seventh title. This would make him the sole record winner at the ATP Finals.

Djokovic had surprisingly little trouble with Alcaraz in the new edition of the Wimbledon final. The Serb dominated the action and was only challenged for a while in the middle of the second set. After just 88 minutes, the Serb converted his second match point. Sinner previously had to fight much harder to keep his dream of winning the title at home.

Only after 2:29 hours did the 22-year-old defeat Medvedev to the great cheers of the Italian fans. The Russian missed the start of the third round after winning the tiebreak in the second set. After that Sinner was unstoppable. Olympic champion Alexander Zverev missed out on a place in the semi-finals despite a 2-1 win.
