A surprising but fair Miss Universe final gave Sheynnis Palacios, representative of Nicaragua, the title of Miss Universe 2023, while Anntonia Porsild of Thailand became the first alternate and Moraya Wilson of Australia came in third place.

The ceremony of the 72nd edition of the contest was held at the José Adolfo Pineda National Gymnasium in San Salvador with 84 candidates from autonomous countries and territories to compete for the title.

The contest was full of “firsts,” because breaking weight and size patterns, the representative of Nepal, Jane Dipika Garrett, was selected among the 20 semifinalists.
