IDF Names Two More Fallen Soldiers in Northern Gaza Strip

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have announced the names of two more soldiers killed during fighting in the northern Gaza Strip, bringing the total number of fallen soldiers to 65 since the start of the ground operation. Captain (res.) Roey Biber, 28, and Sergeant Binyamin Meir Airly, 21, were both killed in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

Biber, from Tzur Moshe, served as a team commander in the Yehalom unit in the Combat Engineering Corps. Airly, from Beit Shemesh, was a fighter in the 101st Battalion, Parachute Brigade. Their deaths add to the toll of fallen soldiers during the ground operation, with 58 killed in combat inside Gaza.

Over the weekend, the IDF also announced the deaths of six other soldiers: Sergeant Shlomo Gortovnik, 21, from Modi’in; Lieutenant Eden Provisor, 21, from Alfei Menashe; Sergeant Adi Malkh Harav, 19, from Beit Jan; Sergeant Shachar Friedman, 21, from Jerusalem; Warrant Officer Jamal Abbas, 23; and Master Sergeant (res.) David (Dudi) Digmi, 43, from Rishon Lezion.

The latest announcement brings the total number of Israeli soldiers killed to 65 since the start of the ground operation in Gaza, with the IDF continuing to face significant losses in the ongoing conflict.
