The Disciplinary Commission of the Mexican Federation decided to financially sanction and disqualify the Sports President of Juárez FC, Andrés Fassi, for four months, for having rebuked the refereeing team in the locker room area, after the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Sub Basic Forces Category. 23, of the 2023 Apertura Tournament, between Juárez and Tigres de la UANL.
The official statement from the FMF states that Fassi “disrespectfully addressed the refereeing body, thus violating the Code of Ethics of the Mexican Football Federation, specifically articles 10 and 11.”
These points stipulate: “Any person subject to this Code of Ethics must refrain from acting, participating in, or in any way inciting conduct that tends to discredit, discredit, cause harm or damage, or be detrimental to FIFA. Confederations, FMF, the Clubs, as well as their governing bodies and their members and/or third parties involved.”
And it is added: “The image and reputation of the FMF, its affiliates and its members, is the responsibility of all those who make up federated football, so it is an individual obligation to direct and perform in all its activities, whether individuals or professionals, with due probity and respect, as well as avoiding engaging in conduct that is detrimental to sport, its organizations, Fair Play and fair play.”

Much further back in time, and in Argentina, in the 2022 Professional League Tournament, Fassi was sanctioned by the AFA Disciplinary Court for not making the corresponding defense after being informed by referee Andrés Merlos in the match of the fifth date that Talleres played against Central Córdoba, at the Kempes, on June 25 of last year.
Fassi was suspended for 30 days for “rebuking the referee” after the end of the match. That night the Albiazul team fell 2-0 against the Santiago team and ended up with one less player due to the expulsion of Christian Oliva, 41 minutes into the first half.
