(Reuters) – The S&P 500 index rose on Friday as investors digested recent gains, while comments from Federal Reserve officials gave no clear signal about when the U.S. central bank might start cutting interest rates.

According to preliminary data, the Dow Jones had a positive change of 0.01%, to 34,947.61 points. The S&P 500 gained 0.13% to 4,514.06 points. The Nasdaq technology index had a positive change of 0.08%, to 14,125.48 points.
