A worker in his 50s was killed today (Friday) after being trapped in a machine at a chocolate factory near the Sgula industrial zone in Petah Tikva. MDA medics and paramedics who arrived at the scene reported that the worker was unconscious and without signs of life – and was forced to determine his death at the scene. The police arrived at the scene and opened an investigation.

MDA paramedic Odelia Molkandov and a senior MDA medic, Chai Takach, said that “the worker trapped inside the machine was unconscious with a severe injury to his upper body. We performed medical tests but he was without signs of life and we have no choice but to determine his death.”

Yossi Eckler, a paramedic from the Rescue Union, added that “unfortunately his death was determined due to the nature of the serious injuries he suffered. Firefighters worked to rescue his body from the dough machine in which he was trapped while working in the factory.”
