London pop star Dua Lipa can’t wait to release more new music soon after the hype surrounding her fan and critically acclaimed hit single “Houdini.” “My next work is definitely the one I’m most proud of,” said the 28-year-old to the German Press Agency in London. “And I’m just looking forward to being able to share it with my fans soon.” The British singer’s third studio album is expected next year.

Her latest work, “Future Nostalgia,” made it to the top of the British chats, winning a Grammy and a Brit Award. However, Dua Lipa doesn’t feel too much pressure before releasing new music. “There’s always a bit of pressure when you have a new project, especially if it’s a little different than what you’ve done before,” she said. “I feel very confident at this point in my career and have the confidence to say exactly what I want to say with my music. That takes some of the pressure off me.”

Collaboration with Kevin Parker

For the new songs, she worked with Australian indie star Kevin Parker aka Tame Impala (“The Less I Know The Better”), among others, to take a slightly different musical direction. “I felt like I had been longing to work with Kevin for a long time,” reported the singer, who became internationally known in 2015 with the song “Be The One”. “Once we were actually in the studio together, everything just clicked for us.”

In addition to Parker, the Canadian Grammy winner Tobias Jesso Jr., the Norwegian songwriter Caroline Ailin and the British music producer Danny Harle were involved in the work. “It felt like we were creating this album like a band,” enthused Dua Lipa. “It gave the whole album an incredible energy.”
