Oconee County Corporal Lucas Watts was shot during a traffic stop last Thursday, but his miraculous recovery has stunned the community.

Deputy Watts was declared all but dead when he arrived at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. He had been shot in the head, and doctors initially had no hope for his survival.
