The Government Subdelegation in Ourense I sent a message today to invite the militants and sympathizers of the PSOE in that city to attend the events of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Womenwhich is celebrated next day the 24th.
The email was sent by the head of the Unit against Violence against Women at 11:01 a.m., and included the invitation for its dissemination among militants and/or sympathizers of the PSOE in Ourense.
The use of an official email to summon the members of a specific political formation caused surprise in other formations.
What happened, explained sources from the delegation, is the product of a confusion on the part of the person who sent the message between his personal account and that belonging to the Government of Spain. The objective of the mail was to facilitate maximum attendance at the commemoration, without excluding any party. In fact, invitations were sent to the province’s town councils from the official account.
