New attempts to deceive citizens by strangers for allegedly paying bills from the Epirus Region, became known in the last few days in all four regional units.
The method followed is the same. The astute obtain information from “Diaygeia”, contact the beneficiaries of payments by phone, citing names of alleged employees of the Region (or the Regional Fund) and either ask for details of bank account codes or refer them to fake links supposedly of other cooperating banks, in order to pay their debts.
The Region of Epirus reiterates, once again, that there is no case for its employee, as well as that of the Regional Development Fund, to ask a trader or any other citizen for bank codes and that those who receive such calls should contact the services of the Epirus directly .
