Tricolor continues its preparation to face Fluminense

The São Paulo squad worked this Monday afternoon (20), at the Barra Funda Training Center, and continued their preparation to face Fluminense, at 9:30 pm on Wednesday (22), at Maracanã, in a postponed match of the 32nd round of the Brazilian Championship.

After the warm-up led by the physical trainers, Dorival Júnior and his assistants divided the squad into two. On one of the pitches, defenders and full-backs carried out a defensive behavior exercise, while midfielders, midfielders and attackers worked on offensive construction on another pitch.

After staying indoors for physical work on Sunday morning (19), in a previously scheduled activity, right-back Igor Vinícius, midfielder Galoppo and attacking midfielder Lucas returned to training with the group. The three are in the process of physical reconditioning after recovering from injuries.

After participating in a period of training with the Brazilian Pre-Olympic Team, in São Paulo, defender Beraldo, left-back Patryck and midfielder Pablo Maia returned to Tricolor.

The training day also featured six athletes who participated in the first game of the Paulista Sub-20 final, against Palmeiras, on Sunday night (19), in Cotia: midfielder Negrucci and striker Talles Wander, who played for for longer, they did lighter activities, while strikers Henrique, William Gomes, João Adriano and Maioli participated in ball work.

After feeling pain during weekend activities, striker Alexandre Pato underwent an imaging test that diagnosed a strain in the left rectus femoris muscle and has already started recovery work at REFFIS Plus.

The squad returns to training in Barra Funda on Tuesday afternoon (21) and is scheduled to leave for Rio de Janeiro in the early evening.
