India will face Pakistan in their first match of the T20 World Cup on October 23. The clash between the two teams is set to take place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

India lost to Pakistan in last year’s World Cup. This is the first time India have lost to an ICC team.

Meanwhile, the 8th ICC T20 World Cup will be held in Australia. The ICC on Friday released the schedule for the tournament, which starts on October 16 and ends on November 13.

Accordingly, India, placed in Group ‘2’, will face Pakistan in their first match of the ‘Soup 12’ round. Next, in the first round, they play against the team that runs out in Group ‘A’.

India, who face South Africa in Game 3 and Bangladesh in Game 4, face Group ‘B”s Win in the first round of the last match of the Super 12 round.

First Round: The first round of the World Cup, the final round of the 4 teams in the ‘Soup 12’ round, begins on October 16. Sri Lanka – Namibia teams clash in the opening match.
