Primary School Student Revived in Hospital After Severe Allergic Reaction

A student at a primary school in Gävle had to be revived in hospital after experiencing a severe allergic reaction during school hours, as reported by Gefle Dagblad.

The school reported to the Swedish Work Environment Authority that the allergic reaction was a result of the child ingesting something he could not tolerate, due to deficiencies in routines in the school kitchen.

The incident took place in September and was brought to attention when the child’s mentor noticed that the student was unwell and promptly called an ambulance.

The Swedish Work Environment Authority will now be investigating the incident to ensure appropriate measures are taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.

This alarming incident serves as a reminder of the importance of proper care and preparation in school environments, especially for students with allergies. The investigation will hopefully lead to improved safety measures to prevent future allergic reactions in schools.
