Rumer Willis, daughter of the renowned actor Bruce Willis, has expressed her longing through a publication on Instagram, where she is seen in a childhood photo with her father. In the accompanying text, Ella Rumer, 35, commented: “I really miss my dad today.” This occurs in a context where Willis’s dementia has advanced worryingly, to such a degree that she no longer recognizes several members of her family.

The photo dates back to 1988, the year Rumer was born and Willis was premiering the film that would make him world famous: Die Hard. Bruce appears shirtless, smiling and holding his daughter, who is just a few months old, wearing a white dress paired with a headband adorned with a white rose. In the publication, hundreds of people shared their messages of support for Rumer during the difficult time that she and her family are experiencing due to her father’s illness. Even her sister Tallulah commented on the post with a brief “I love you sister.”
Although the singer and actress has been very reserved regarding her father’s illness, her younger sister has been responsible for sharing several updates on Bruce Willis’ condition. In early November, Tallulah assured that, despite her father’s illness, he remains a very loving man with whom she still shares a very special bond.
“He is himself, which I think in this sense I have learned is the best thing one can ask for. I see love when I am with him, and he is my father and he loves me, which is really special.”
