INTERVIEW – Director of sponsorship, Marie-Hélène Habert explains to us why the Dassault group has chosen to invest in psychiatric research.

Director of communications and sponsorship for the Dassault* group, Marie-Hélène Habert awards each year to a French researcher, on behalf of the group and the FondaMental foundation, the Marcel Dassault prize for research and innovation in psychiatry. Herself the daughter of Serge and Nicole Dassault, she explains to us why her family chose to get involved in a field that is usually rather neglected.

LE FIGARO. – Why did you decide to dedicate a prize to research in mental health, rather than other health topics often considered more promising?

Marie-Hélène HABERT. – One of our family members, now deceased, had Asperger’s autism. It made us realize that there was still a lot to do in the management of psychiatric illnesses and in favor of the well-being of patients. However, very few companies intervene on this subject, which nevertheless concerns a very large number of patients: a fifth of the population is affected by a mental illness…
