Burkina: CSC, international politics and sport on the cover of Burkinabe newspapers

OuagadougouNov. 22, 2023 (AIB) – This Wednesday’s publications mention in their front pages, the arrival yesterday Tuesday of the former president of the national assembly of Côte d’Ivoire, Guillaume Soro in Burkina, the victory of the Stallions of 3 goals to 0 on the Walya of Ethiopia, for the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the reform of the Higher Communication Council (CSC).

“Reform of the CSC: The deputies adopt the bill”, displays on its headline, the state daily, Sidwaya.

The public newspaper reports that the organic project relating to the attribution, composition, organization and functioning of the Superior Council of Communication was adopted yesterday Tuesday in Ouagadougou, during a plenary session by the Transitional Legislative Assembly (ALT).

According to him, the Minister of Communication, Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, representing the government, following the adoption of the law, stressed that this new vision in no way affects the independence of the CSC.

The private daily reports that for the second day of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, the Stallions played a match yesterday Tuesday in El Jadida in Morocco against the Walya of Ethiopia.

According to him, at the end of regulation time, it was the Stallions who took the upper hand by 3 goals to 0.
