The San Juan lawyers elect this Thursday, November 23, the new authorities of the Forum in a historic election for two reasons: The first and main reason is that, for the first time in the history of the institution, the president, vice, the eight members of the Board of Directors and the Disciplinary Court.
The second is that, if the current incumbent, Marcelo Álvarez, wins the election, he will become the first president to be re-elected.
Two lists will be presented in the electoral contest: The official United for the Forum, which has the support of the Justicialist Lawyers Group, is headed by Marcelo Álvarez, current president of the institution, who will seek re-election.
The other list, called Open Forum, is headed by lawyer Franco Montes, who proposes a change in the leadership of the Forum.
The main candidates spoke with Zonda Diario and explained that the elections took place normally and with very fluid participation.
Marcelo Álvarez assured: “the important thing is that things go well for all of us and that whoever loses is supported and that we can defend the profession together.”
For his part, Franco Montes declared: “The Forum must be open to everything without ideological intentions to defend the interests of those enrolled and that is what we pursue.”
