Uppsala County Sustainability Pledges 2023-2027: Håbo Municipality Takes Action for Climate and Community Development

By making promises, we strengthen focus and collaboration in environmental work to reach the Swedish environmental goals. Ahead of the coming year, we signed two action programs: reduced climate impact and sustainable social development.Sustainability promises 2023-2027During the period 2023-2027, Håbo municipality is working with the following measures to reduce climate impact:Increase transport efficiency and fossil-free mobility Fossil-free company vehicles and fossil-free work commuting and meeting culture Promote charging infrastructure or the possibility of refueling with fossil-free fuels Reduce energy and power use and increase flexibility Increase knowledge, participation and commitmentDuring the period 2023-2026, Håbo Municipality works with the following measures for sustainable community development:Physical planning that reduces environmental and health impact Exploitation with regard to the environment and health Management and development of existing buildings, infrastructure and environments Increase reuse, prevent waste, reduce new consumption of materials and goodsReduced climate impact and work for sustainable community development are in line with Håbo municipality’s climate and energy ambitions, which are summarized in steering documents such as the municipality’s vision, overview plan and sustainability strategy.
