The parliamentarian, who was recently re-elected as senator, invited her to celebrate the victory in his apartment in Paris on the night of November 14th. According to Josso, they had been friends for ten years and had never had any sentimental involvement. The meeting was supposed to last a few minutes, during a break for the deputy in the French Assembly, but ended with the police.
Josso said on the TV show “C to you” that the senator proposed a toast with champagne, but served the two glasses of the drink in the kitchen, while she waited for him in the living room. “At the first sip, I felt that the champagne didn’t have the same taste as usual, it was sugary. I thought it was because maybe I was tired or because it was poor quality champagne,” she says.
According to the deputy, the friend’s behavior was also strange. Guerriau insisted that they toast several times, forcing her to drink more quickly. “That worried me, I found this attitude very bizarre,” she says.
A few minutes later, the deputy began to feel palpitations, heat, dizziness and thought she was having hypoglycemia due to her empty stomach. Josso then asked the senator for something to eat, but the symptoms only increased as time went by.
As an excuse, she explained to Guerriau that she would have to return to the Assembly to participate in a vote, while he continued to insist that she drink. When he returned to the kitchen to serve more champagne, Josso decided to follow him without him noticing and saw him putting a small packet of white powder in a drawer. “Then I understood what was happening,” Josso recalls.
The deputy managed to call a taxi and said she needed to return to the Assembly quickly, trying not to show nervousness and fearing a reaction from the senator. Guerriau even accompanied her to the exit of the apartment, decided to go down with her in the elevator and took her to the taxi that was waiting for her at the exit of the building.
