50 Days of War: Israel’s Achievements, Palestinian Perspective, and Political Pressure
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) entered a 50-day ground maneuver in the Gaza Strip with a clear mission to defeat Hamas and rescue abductees. In the political arena, the United States has provided unprecedented support to Israel, including sending aircraft carriers to the region and calling on countries not to join Hamas’ fight. President Biden has emphasized American support for Israel and urged Congress to transfer unprecedented aid, as well as pressing for humanitarian aid to be poured into the Strip. Additionally, world leaders, members of parliament, journalists, and public opinion leaders have visited Israel to show solidarity, and Israel has also run a tough campaign at the United Nations regarding the escalation on the Lebanese border.
