The opening segment had a good amount of storyline progression, which has been somewhat of an issue for the show in recent weeks, and the presence of women in the main event and in some of the show’s highest-profile storyline positions was a nice change of pace. There are stronger episodes of blue-branded TV, but given the time of year and the presence of high-profile matches on the Survivor Series card, it’s understandable that the roster was depleted by the brand-vs.-brand pay-per-view.
