4 – Christian Berger, Head of the EU Delegation in Egypt, He said the European Union has issued grants to Egypt and has steadily increased its involvement in the Egyptian economy to contribute to its sustainable growth. The EU provides active assistance to Egypt of around 1.2 billion euros per year.
Berger also mentioned that the EU is providing assistance of around 100 million euros to help stabilize prices under the food safetyand closely follows discussions between Egypt and the IMF over its latest loan agreement, which the EU supports.
