Dori: A march to welcome the reconquest actions and demand the reopening of the RN3
Dori, (AIB)The active forces of the Sahel region demonstrated their solidarity with the transitional regime of Burkina Faso through a march organized on Saturday November 25, 2023 in Dori. They also asked for the reopening of national road 3.
Starting from Arba Diallo Square in the center of the town of Dori, the demonstrators traveled nearly three kilometers to reach the governorate of the Sahel region. Waving flags of Burkina Faso, Niger, Mali and Russia, they chanted slogans favorable to the transitional regime and its president, Captain Ibrahim Traoré.
Fayçal Maiga expressed the availability of the populations of the Sahel to support the Transitional regime.
According to the president of the Sahel regional youth council (CRJ), Fayçal Maiga, this mobilization aims to express the gratitude and recognition of the populations of the Sahel towards the transitional authorities for their efforts in the reconquest, security of the country and good governance.
Mr. Maiga also stressed that this event aims to provide unconditional support for the sister transitions of Mali and Niger.
In his speech to the crowd of demonstrators, he paid tribute to the defense and security forces (FDS) as well as the volunteers for the defense of the fatherland (VDP) for their victories.
Relwendé Ouédraogo promised to transmit the message of the forces to whom it may concern.
While congratulating the transition for the many achievements, the president of the Sahel CRJ expressed the populations’ expectations regarding the reopening of national road number 3 (RN3) and the stabilization of telecommunications networks.
Mr. Maiga delivered this message of hope from the populations of the Sahel to the High Commissioner of the Seno province, Mr. Relwendé Ouédraogo, representing the governor of the Sahel region, who undertook to transmit it to those concerned.
It should be noted that this demonstration is the second of its kind after that organized on September 29, 2023 in Dori by the M27 movement.
