Work: after the great resignation and the silent or conscious resignation comes… resentment

Johnny Taylor, executive director of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), will cross the Atlantic at the end of November to go to the Global Drucker Forum, a temple of leadership and management. At the head of an organization with some 325,000 human resources (HR) professionals, he works to ensure that human resources departments act as effective business partners of CEOs.

But, since 2020, HR experts have noted that the job market has changed enormously, following everyone’s introspections during the confinements. After the “Great resignation”, the “quiet quitting”, the “conscious quitting” comes this new phase: “resenteism”, which characterizes the fact of remaining in a job that makes you fundamentally unhappy, out of security or lack of options, and start to not stand it to the point where you let everyone around you know.
