On this day, November 26, 2008, a series of attacks perpetrated by five commandos each made up of two Pakistani Islamist terrorists begins in Bombay (Mumbai), India. The terrorists arrived in Bombay aboard a fishing boat whose crew they had murdered. After disembarking, they simultaneously attacked five points in the financial capital of India: the Leopold Café Restaurant, the Central Train Station, a Jewish center, the Cama Hospital, and the Taj Mahal and Oberoi Trident hotels. During 60 hours of terrorist attack, 188 people died, including tourists and workers at the attacked centers. Indian security forces killed the last terrorists on November 29, three days after the assault began.
