Singer Eyshila announced that she will make a live this Friday, November 24th, with the state secretary for Women, Sonaira Fernandes, to discuss cases of domestic violence in Christian circles.

On her Instagram account, Eyshila made a post in collaboration with Sonaira Fernandes, who is a councilor in the capital of São Paulo on leave from her mandate to act as the state government’s first secretary of Women’s Policies.

“Marriage presupposes love. Where love dwells there is no room for violence. In Ephesians 5:25, the apostle Paul exhorts men to love their wives in the same way that Christ loved the Church, giving himself for her. And this surrender does not manifest itself in control or violence, but in patience, understanding, respect and love”, says the caption of the Publication.

Eyshila, who also works as a pastor at the Vitória em Cristo Assembly of God, will do the live with Sonaira next Friday, from 12pm: “We need to face this issue head on, and rescue the biblical message in days of so many conflicts. Don’t miss it!”

In January of this year, pastor Josué Valandro Jr. touched on the wound: “Our churches are full of women who are beaten of their husbands,” he wrote in an article about domestic violence cases.

“There are not a few who live a life of horrors, suffering the hardships of a despotic, dictatorial and brutal relationship”, said Valandro, who became nationally known as the pastor of former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro.
