The Crime Branch submitted to the court the evidence that could prove that the conspiracy had taken place accurately. The crime branch was able to hand over the crucial document of the transaction to the court. There is also digital evidence that Dileep has said three times in the past that he would harass investigators. The evidence was also handed over to the Crime Branch court.
However, the High Court observed that the evidence in the case was insufficient as there was a conspiracy to endanger the investigating officers in the case of the attack on the actress. The High Court held that it was not clear from the available evidence that the accused had committed the crime.
The High Court said that an in-depth inquiry into the matter was needed. The court issued an interim order restraining Dileep’s arrest on the ground that the custody of the accused was not required at present. The court also noted that a detailed investigation into the evidence obtained in the sealed envelope was required. The court stayed the arrest of accused Dileep till the 27th of this month. But the court said protection from arrest would be revoked if it influenced the investigation.
The High Court has allowed the interrogation of the accused, including Dileep. The crime branch was allowed to question him for the next three days. The High Court allowed Dileep to be questioned on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays from 9 am to 8 pm. The interim order of the high court said that Dileep and the other accused in the case should appear for questioning. The High Court will hear the case again on Tuesday.
