Weekly Report: COVID-19 Situation in Thailand

The Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health has released its weekly report on the situation of people infected with COVID-19 in Thailand between 19-25 November 2023.

According to the report, there were 480 patients hospitalized during this week, with a daily average of 69 people admitted per day. There were 2 reported deaths, with an average of 1 death per day. The total number of accumulated patients since 1 January 2023 now stands at 35,668 people, with 823 cumulative deaths.

The report also noted that there were 82 pneumonia patients and 45 intubated patients during this period.

In comparison to the previous week (12-18 November 2023), the number of hospitalized patients and deaths has slightly increased. During that week, there were 390 hospitalized patients, with a daily average of 56 people admitted per day. There was 1 reported death, with an average of 1 death per day. The total number of accumulated patients since 1 January 2023 was 35,188 people, with 821 cumulative deaths. There were 83 pneumonia patients and 40 intubated patients during that period.

The Ministry of Public Health has once again urged the public to continue adhering to COVID-19 prevention measures such as wearing masks, practicing social distancing, and getting vaccinated to help curb the spread of the virus.
