Kidnapped Adina Moshe Returns to Israel After Harrowing Ordeal

Adina Moshe, a 72-year-old woman, has returned to Israel after being kidnapped by Hamas on Black Sabbath. Her niece, Revital Moshe-Mills, spoke today about her aunt’s acclimatization after being held in captivity.

Moshe-Mills revealed that her aunt is still in the process of learning about the devastation caused by the terrorists in the kibbutz. She shared, “She still doesn’t know about everything that happened, and is slowly finding out about the devastation left behind by the terrorists in the kibbutz.”

Tragically, Adina’s husband, Said, was murdered during the abduction. Moshe-Mills shared, “She took care of him after he was wounded, the terrorists managed to break the window and pulled her out, then she heard two shots and realized what happened. Now the mourning begins, they were a loving couple and their lives were cut short.”

In a released video, Adina is seen rejecting the outstretched hand of a Hamas operative and getting out of the vehicle without assistance. Moshe-Mills described her aunt as “weak and frightened,” but also as a “sturdy person, with high mental resilience.” She added, “I’m sure she held her own and that she survived it for the sake of all the others. She is also a person who has worked in education all her life, I am sure that she led all the guys there.”

Moshe-Mills criticized the state’s response on the day of the massacre, expressing frustration at the delayed arrival of the army at the kibbutz. She said, “They lost track of time, she even asked why it took so long? I think that mainly what will accompany them in the coming days is the anger of the citizens’ abandonment. It was only at 3:00 PM that the army arrived at the kibbutz. We are all wondering what happened.”

The family went to Said’s grave before visiting the kibbutz, only to find their home completely burned down. “It’s such a big ruin there. There is no kibbutz, their house is completely burned down. Her house is completely burned down,” Moshe-Mills shared. Despite the devastation, they managed to salvage some burnt belongings from the remains of their home.

As Adina begins her journey to recovery, the family is left to grapple with the aftermath of this harrowing ordeal.
