Infinix set to launch new budget smartphone in India on December 8, 2023
Popular Chinese mobile brand Infinix is all set to launch its new budget smartphone in India soon. According to the company, the Infinix Smart 8 HD will be launched in India on the 8th of next month. The new phone is expected to come with significant upgrades as a sequel to the Infinix Smart 7 HD, which was launched earlier this year.
The upcoming Smart 8 HD budget phone is expected to be available in four color options including Crystal Green, Galaxy White, Shiny Gold, and Timber Black. The back of the Smart 8 HD phone features dual rear cameras and LED flash. The camera setup is housed in a rectangular camera module at the top left corner of the phone’s back panel. The front camera is housed in a hole-punch cutout at the center of the mobile display.
The device will come with a 6.6-inch HD+ sunlight-readable display and 500 Nits peak brightness. It also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security, UFS 2.2 storage, and Type C charging. The Infinix Smart 8 HD is expected to be priced under Rs 9,000 in India, although the official price is yet to be announced by the company.
According to a recent report by Counterpoint Research, Infinix and Tecno are among the fastest-growing brands in the market, along with Apple. Samsung leads the market with a 21% share, followed by Xiaomi at 17% and OPPO at 15%. Meanwhile, Apple’s shipments grew by 19% year-over-year during the quarter.
