Last August, she was one of 14 high-level chess players who wrote an open letter to denounce gender-based and sexual violence (SGBV) in chess. While the French federation (FFE) has just presented a battery of measures to combat this violence, Yosha Iglesias, 35, player and trans activist, underlines the ambition of the governing body but remains vigilant on the concrete application of this plan. This should allow players to practice their passion without suffering prejudice or attacks, in a discipline where women represent only 17% of the 45,000 licensees in France.
