The cycling world is cooked. The Galician Cycling Federation confirmed the sudden death of Jorge Martin Montenegro. The cyclist of Argentine origin and Spanish nationality died last weekend at his house without the causes of death having yet been known.
Born in the Argentine city of Mar del Plata, Martín Montenegro belonged to a family with a cycling tradition. In 2005the year in which he settled in Spain, he was crowned as champion of Argentina sub-23.
Already in our country, it was imposed 2009 in the Spanish Cycling Cup and in 2016 he won Spanish Elite Road Cycling Championship and the Iberdrola Trophy. She also participated in the Back to Spain in 2010, a test in which he made himself known after starring in several escapades. In 2019 was imposed in a stage of the Tour of Galicia.
