Property tax: the bill should further increase by at least 3.8% in 2024

While the latest estimates suggested a mechanical increase in the property tax of 4.2%, it should ultimately be a little lower. The harmonized consumer price index (HICP), which determines each year the rate of revaluation of the rental bases used to calculate the property tax, is in fact 3.8% over one year in November, according to provisional data of INSEE. The final figure is expected in mid-December.
