The actress and comedian Silvia Abril has expressed a beautiful farewell message to the deceased Concha Velasco. Someone that she and her partner, the presenter and comedian Andreu Buena, consider as family, as told in Más Vale Tarde in a connection he made from a car when he was on his way to the airport to say goodbye to the actress. “She proclaimed herself our daughter’s Madrid grandmother,” she recalls.
“We have felt her like a mother. She adored Andreu and she adored me… We had a mutual adoration,” he says, and says that they have always “felt her like a member of the family.” “Today’s loss is very big,” says Abril.
Likewise, the actress recalled Concha Velasco’s divorce from theater producer Paco Marsó and how a monologue by Buenafuente made her back away from making “a bad decision.” “She told that tragic and sad chapter of her life very well. Abril points out that the actress “took out everything she had put into herself, went back and we had her here for many more years.” “How brave she was and how much humor she applied in her life despite the hard moments she lived. “She was a beast. She could do nothing with her. With her passion, with her desire to live. She clung to life until her heart couldn’t take it anymore. She really liked what was here. She was a very vital woman, It was like that all my life,” he says.
