Zimbabwe cricket star Brendan Taylor today released the shocking news that an Indian businessman had blackmailed himself with a video of him using cocaine to lure him into spot-fix gambling.

Speaking on Twitter, Brendan Taylor broke down how he was invited to India to attend a T20 match in Zimbabwe, where he was given cocaine and threatened the next day with a video of him using illicit drugs and gambling. He also exposed that the intimidator was an Indian businessman.

The businessman told the story that Taylor offered him a $ 15,000 “deposit” for spot-fixing and another $ 20,000 when he got the job done.

He said he had lodged a complaint with the International Cricket Council four months after the incident in October 2019. He asserted that his confession had been obtained through torture, and that his confession had been obtained through torture.

Brendan Taylor said, “In late October 2019, an Indian businessman approached me to discuss sponsorships and the possibility of hosting a T20 tournament in Zimbabwe, and offered me USD $ 15,000 for the trip.

I can not deny that I was a little cautious. But since Zimbabwe Cricket had not paid us for 6 months, it was questionable whether Zimbabwe could continue to play on the international stage. So I traveled.

Discussions took place just as he said, and on our last night at the hotel, the businessman and his colleagues took me to a celebratory dinner. We drank drinks and during the evening they openly gave me cocaine and they used it too. I foolishly fell for the bait. My stomach still churns today when I think of what they played with me.

The next morning, the same people entered my hotel room and showed me a video of me taking cocaine that night, threatening to release the video to the public if I did not spot-fix it for them at international competitions.

There were 6 of them and I was worried about my safety. I was a prisoner of that situation that changed my life out of fear. They gave me $ 15,000. It was a deposit, and I gambled and they said they would give me another $ 20,000 if I did as they said. Then I had no choice but to deny them. I agreed that I had to escape from here somehow.

I would like to record that I am not involved in any kind of match fixing. I may have made mistakes but I am not a cheater. My love for the game of beautiful cricket is greater than any threats thrown at me, ”he said in his statement.

He said the ICC had decided to ban him from international cricket and would accept it. “Keep clean and get my life back on track,” she said of joining the rehab center.
